SEARCH & FIND

In addition to the web site search form on each of our pages, we offer a number of other search options, detailed below.

Preselected ERIC Database Searches

Before you conduct your own search of the ERIC database using the links below, check our growing list of preselected searches. We’ve done the searching for you, kept only the most relevant abstracts, and posted them for you to browse. We try to update each search on a quarterly schedule.

The ERIC Database

You may search the ERIC database of nearly a million papers, reports, articles, and other materials online at a number of free public access points. We maintain a list of ERIC Database Links from which you can connect to the access point of your choice.

Other Areas to Search

  • The Directory of Organizations, formerly a print only publication, is now available as an online database. The purpose of the Directory is to guide users to sources of information on a wide range of topics in our scope. The Directory, when completed, will list nearly 200 service and research organizations in our field. For each organization, the Directory gives the title, director's name, phone and fax numbers, address, purpose, scope of subject area, topics of publications, and service policy.

  • Our Publications lists all our publications including books, ERIC Digests, and more. Many publications are available free of charge online.

  • In-Process Abstracts are the resumes of documents and journal articles we have recently processed before they appear in the ERIC database. Up to six months can elapse between the time we index and abstract a document and the date that document's resume appears on a searchable CD-ROM. Visit this page to search the resumes of documents and articles that we have recently prepared and shipped to the ERIC Facility for processing into the ERIC database. We add new resumes monthly, and delete them once they appear on CD-ROMs, which are produced quarterly by Dialog, Silver Platter, and other vendors.
