Comprehensive School Reform Programs

We have assembled below a list of programs that have been designed to bring about cross-disciplinary reform of schools and that involve home, school, and community in the intellectual development and personal nurturing of all children. These programs are referred to as whole-school or comprehensive school reform programs.

The programs are presented in two categories: (1) those that were listed in the Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration Program legislation passed by Congress in 1998 (known as the ÒObey-Porter ListÓ); and (2) additional programs that were listed in An Educator's Guide to Schoolwide Reform, compiled through a study by the American Institutes for Research, and in the Catalog of School Reform Models: First Edition, published by the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory.

To obtain more information about these programs, you may use the telephone numbers, email addresses, and website links that we have provided.
